THE TERROIR

Around 250 million years ago, an emerald lagoon covered what is now Bourgogne. As a result, the subsoil contains marine marl and limestone deposits. The roots of the vines go deep into this unique geological legacy, drawing from it the finesse, depth and minerality that are so characteristic of Bourgogne appellations.

The Bourgogne wine region has all the attributes for the successful growing of Chardonnay. Here, the varietal reflects the tiny variations in the terroir on which it is planted, making the range of nuances found in Bourgogne wines unique.

The Côte de Beaune, renowned for its two great legendary grape varieties, chardonnay and pinot noir, will delight you with its great wines. Whites such as Corton-Charlemagne, Montrachet, Meursault… But also by its red wines such as Corton, Pommard, Volnay…

THE CHARDONNAY

Chardonnay like clayey marly limestone soils from which it can develop sophisticated, elegant aromas in the future wine. The clay helps produce breadth in the mouth, characteristic of the Bourgogne region’s great white wines.

The Côte de Beaune produces Chardonnays with a intense gold color. On the nose, they are dominated by intense aromas of white-fleshed fruit, with floral, creamy, and oaky notes. In the mouth, they are ample, smooth, and powerful. The Grand Crus of the Côte de Beaune offer unrivalled aromatic intensity and length on the tongue.
